Over the last two and a half years, Chris Tarrant has traveled, literally, all around the world filming Extreme Railway Journeys . Chris’s journeys have taken him to the Congo, India, Australia, Bolivia (twice), Japan, Siberia, Myanmar, Canada, and Cuba, and the latest programs see the completion of filming in Alaska, Argentina, Azerbaijan, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Beautifully illustrated with exclusive color photographs, Extreme Railway Journeys is not only a record of remarkable journeys in extraordinary places by one of our shrewdest commentators. It is also a demonstration of the principle that "to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive."
Thank God that's finally over. This should've been such a good book, but the constant criticisms of everywhere and everything, and the occasional old white British man racisims were just godawful. And what in the fuck is wrong with you if you don't like empanadas and bento boxes? Ugh, go eat a bloody pie with some unseasoned mash, you heathen.
